Back in Motion — Mental Health, Movement & a Fresh Start
Before I get into this post, a quick note. I’m planning to write here more regularly — ideally weekly, maybe even twice a week. The blog will loosely follow three themes: stories about Wilfred, honest reflections on running Wilfreds (like this one), and a mix of sweet-related content, product deep dives, and seasonal curiosities. That’s the rhythm I’m aiming for. We’ll see how it goes.

Mental Health Awareness Week wrapped up a few days ago — this year’s theme was movement. I didn’t quite manage to post during the week itself, but honestly? Every week is mental health week.
I’ve been meaning to write something for a while. That campaign gave me the nudge.
The last blog post was back in early March. Since then, life’s kept moving — sometimes fast, sometimes not at all. And in the blur of everything, sitting down to write felt like one of those things I kept pushing back. But now feels like a good time to start again. Gently.
Movement doesn’t always have to mean going for a run or smashing a step count. Sometimes it’s just opening the window. Getting out of bed. Sending a message. Saying no. Saying yes. Starting again.
Mental health means a lot to me — not just in some abstract way, but in how I try to show up each day. For Wilfred. For family. For the people around the business. Some days that’s easy. Other days it isn’t. But I think it matters to say that out loud. This blog is one small part of that — a space to pause, reflect, and say something real, even if only once a week. Hopefully more.
So this is me, starting again. Moving forward — slowly, steadily, on purpose.
Thanks for reading.
